Sustainability

Irish Pressings is committed to the highest standards of business, environmental and ethical behaviour and to fulfilling our responsibilities to the local and global communities which we serve.

Environmental Sustainability

Being located along the rugged Co.Donegal coast along the Wild Atlantic Way, Irish Pressings is only too aware of the beauty of our planet.

With this awareness comes a responsibility as a manufacturer to minimise the impact of our operations on the environment both at a local and global level.

In this respect, Irish Pressings is committed to reducing its environmental footprint where possible. The company is certified ISO14001 and its commitment to sustainability is backed up by our investment in air-to-water heating system, HERLT renewable wood-burning heating system, rainwater harvesting and the installation of low-energy LED lighting across our facility.

Irish Pressings commits to:

  • Reducing the environmental impacts of all business processes encompassing design, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, sale, and disposal;
  • Minimising waste and conserving energy and water;
  • Meeting all applicable Government guidelines, regulations and industry codes of practice;
  • Ensure that environmental factors are prioritised in commercial decision making.

Supplier Code of Conduct

While Irish Pressings takes full ownership of its own performance as a social, ethical and environmentally responsible employer and manufacturer, equally as important is ensuring that the same values are distilled amongst the company’s supply chain.

In that regard, it is important that all suppliers are aware of our Code of Conduct and are asked to confirm compliance with same when agreeing to become a supplier to the company.
